Eyeko Liquid Eyeliner Trio

If you get to know me, you know that I LOVE EYELINER. I wear eyeliner all the time. If you see me without eyeliner, it's probably because it's dead/finals week of that semester.

I generally only use liquid eyeliner. Why? because it is so damn easy and has a good enough lasting power for me. I would use gel eyeliner, but it takes one too many tools and I'm too lazy to sit there and try to make it perfect. I am a perfectionist when it comes to makeup and I am not going to wake up every morning to make my eyeliner perfect with gel eyeliner when liquid eyeliner takes half the time and you only need one thing to do it. (*note: I still like gel eyeliner. But I generally use it when I need my make up more dramatic)

Oh right. *Pencil eyeliner just doesn't cut it with my oily lids. I mainly use pencil on my water line but that doesn't even stay on that long for me.*

Anyways, I really enjoy Eyeko's eyeliner. I bought my first eyeko eyeliner like...a year and a half ago? and since then have repurchased it 3 times. That's right honey, 3 TIMES!  If that doesn't show you how much I love this product. Then here....

I bought the Eyeko Liquid Eyeliner Trio. (credit to Sephora)

This product comes with three of Eyeko eyeliner in three colors( black, brown, and blue) and it's a smaller than the original Eyeko eyeliner.

In the past, I had tried to venture out into colored eyeliner on my top lid, but it occurred to me long time ago when I was browsing through my church's senior banquet... that colored eyeliner on the top of Asian eyelids LOOKS BAD.

It looks like I have weirder, SMALLER eyes, which is the WORST thing that could happen to an asian. WORST, I SAY.

So I stayed away from it. Until recently, I was watching youtube and saw a blogger/youtuber  named ...I forgot. She had did a tutorial on the product and I realized the colors were really nice! The brown and the blue wasn't too intense that it took away from your look, it added that extra oof!

And it truly does.

The eyeliner itself: The tip is a felt tip liner, but it's a bit harder than other felt tip liners I've used.
Pros: Very opaque, easy to use, very easy to do winged eye liner with this. DOES NOT FLAKE (but it does start to flake when it is really dried out)
Cons: Doesn't last as long as I would like it to (dries out a bit too fast), There's a clear plastic tip inside of the actually cap and after you use the liner for awhile, the clear plastic tip come out of the cap (which is really annoying)

Black
Pros: Very Opaque for about three-four months (Keep in mind that I use this product EVERY single day)
Cons: However, it starts to diminish as you use it. Dries out kinda fast. Flakes away by the end of the day because the product is drying out.

Showing the flakiness of it.

Blue
Pros: Love the deepest of this blue. It doesn't look too blue, which I think looks more flattering on my tiny Asian eyes.
Cons: No cons. I really love it.

this is with full light! Pretty opaque!

Depending on ight, you can get a dark blue or a light blue

Brown
Pros: I like that the brown looks very natural on my eyes. It's definitely not harsh on my eyes. It gives me some good definition but not as bold as black.
Cons: It's not very opaque (which can be a good thing, then it looks more natural) but it's not consistent with its stroke.. sometimes it'll give a dark brown stroke, then a very very light brown stroke. It's hard to work with it and it dries out WAY TOO fast. (For some reason, only my brown one is extremely dried out...maybe I didn't close the cap or something?)

Overall Rating: (Hey! I'm finally using a rating system!)
3.9 out of 5 stars

<Note: I think there's better eyeliners out there, that I haven't tried out yet. This is a pretty good, cheap ish eyeliner.>

Until next time,

Leta
